Mom continues to rest and heal. She is bathed and moved each day and is briefly awakened during this. We say hello to her and let her know about all the prayers and that we are here and she is getting good help but we don't know if she hears us due to the sedation, etc.
The nurses are very attentive and sensitive caregivers. They are very nice to explain anything to us. They have seen so much in the ICU and tell us that she is in good shape compared to others on this unit. Most are accident victims and much worse off.
We spend most time in the waiting room and check on her often. I will be going home tomorrow after her surgery but will return by Thur or Fri. Dean will help John keep up with Casey and anything at the house.
To keep busy, I have been doing some networking and promoting for mom's hostel project. I know that she will be glad it continues.
Thank you to all who have visited and continue to pray and send good, healing thoughts to my mom.

Linda I sure hate missing you at the reunion. The class prayed for your recovery. This morning at my church we also prayed for. Please get well soon your friend Bob Sumners
I'm so sorry to hear about her accident, but am encouraged that she is doing better.
Linda is such a godly, loving, and caring aunt, so I'm sure there are lots of people thinking about/ and praying for her.
That's my loyal Uncle John that I'm so proud of, staying by her side at the hospital. He is such a prince of a fellow and a great uncle and ex. to me! I know he's praying for her a lot. This is a hard time for him, her, her children, relatives, and friends.
I'm glad to hear that Uncle John went home for a bit today. Hopefully he will do this to recharge and allow others to help out, the way he has done for so many of his friends and family.
Love to you all,
Kathy Brown
John, Linda, Diane, Dean and all,
I just sent Linda an email and received the notice of the accident. I hope I don't have to tell any of you how this family feels about you, Linda, we love you and consider you a big part of our family. You have been a loyal and loving friend, and as Millie says, her third daughter. I haven't told her yet, I will wait until morning, she won't sleep if I tell her this late in the evening. Please, if there is anything we can do, please call. And know, this family will be praying for a complete and speedy recovery. As you know, Our God is Awesome and He holds you in His hands.

All the best to Big Red from all the Thibaults. She has had a special spot in our hearts for a half-century. We are reading the blog and passing around the news among ourselves and to others who are close to her. Kindest and warmest wishes also to John and the rest of the family. It is such a comfort to know that she is surrounded by such a marvelous bunch of folks who are watching out for her as we wish we could.
Much love from Hank T. in Wisconsin
Linda and John,

You realize that this means you'll never get to play Pinky Tuscadaro in the Happy Days reunion show! I guess some other "motorcyle mama" will have to play Fonzie's girl now.
Think happy thoughts while you recover and get well soon.

Linda and John - Craig and I are thinking about you all and praying that you will be healed. You are needed and your ready smile and soft manner are missed at church and especially, the Firehouse and River Market. Hang on - time will help. We send love, Nancy Wood
I pray the surgery is successful today. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God has his hand on Linda and the Doctors this morning. Much Love,Cindy
Info for Linda and John: This past weekend: The Natural State Expo was wonderful-we had lots of great visitorsand outpouring for Linda. The Firehouse Hostel Booth turned out great and I am attaching a couple of photos from it. Equally as important was the t-shirt booth at the RiverMarket- they also had a good response. Amazing was the Fallen Firefighters Memorial on display in front of the Convention Center and the thousands upon thousands of participants that came by. What a great combination. What a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kudos to: Linda / Anncha / John / Rick / Johny for all the help on the booth set ups and being present to man (a couple in spirit). Firefighters in helping dismantle at the Natural State Expo and for the Firefighters Memorial- Johnny Reep what a great thing to see. Sherrye, Carol and Mary: the Race was as good as ever- to see all the participants is truly phenomenal. To the City for all that it does- What a great City we have!!!!!!!
For up to date info on Linda Fordyce (she was involved in a terrible accident) and her present condition please refer to the blog below. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and John at this time.

Diane,
I met your mother while working with the MacArthur Park Group. She is a kind women who always offered words of encouragement and helpful advice. If I can offer any assistance with regard to her hostel project let me know. I am closely tied to the community in Little Rock, and would be happy to help you in any way I can so that her work continues while she is unable to attend to it.
