There is now a real chance that Linda Fordyce will be discharged on Thanksgiving Day and allowed to go home! Today, she actually climbed stairs. Every day brings new possibilities! Little by little, she is getting stronger and stronger. We are thrilled! John is making the preparations with the case manager already, so that everything will be ready for her to come home next week. Physical therapists will make house calls, and she will be able to go to her follow-up appoinments as an outpatient. Hooray!!! M
Diane Here, I didn't want to post over that last bit of great news so I'm adding to the bottom of it. I'm so glad to hear we may be able to have family together with Mom at home for Thanksgiving. Here is a great photo, I just found, of Linda's grandkids all together with their Uncle Dan. Classic!

Mindy, I remember you saying this summer how much you have missed Thanksgiving with the family. What a wonderful gift for you and everyone that your Mom may get to come home for that special family day. Now, Linda, you let the girls and others do the meal preparation and just enjoy being there. Next year, they can let you do it all. HA!
I've really appreciated getting to keep up with your progress daily. Love to all, Dana
This is really good news about Linda's progress. Knowing she may be home for Thanksgiving I am sure is encouragement for her. I'll bet she is ready for Turkey and dressing after eating hospital food for so long. John, this will give you a chance to show off your cooking skills. Thanks for the daily updates. We check them every day.
Love,
Billy/Jane
Great News! Love the picture of Dan and all the little people. Very cute. Keep up the good efforts.
